On the initiative of minister Viktor Dudka and representatives of the North-Eastern Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the First Prayer Breakfast was held in Kharkiv Oblast with the participation of convicts.
The event was held in the Pervomaiska Correctional Colony No. 117 and for the first time brought together not only representatives of the clergy and the authorities, but also convicts serving their sentences in the Correctional Institution No. 117.
The first prayer breakfast with convicts in the Kharkiv region brought together ministers of six Christian denominations in Ukraine, employees of the Institutions, representatives of the North-Eastern Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
The event began with a moment of silence for the fallen soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Next, the presenter gave the floor to representatives of religious communities, heads of institutions and convicts. Speakers spoke about the importance of cooperation between the Church and representatives of institutions, prayed for peace in Ukraine and read verses from the Gospels.
At the end, Viktor Dudka thanked everyone present for the support and support of such a tradition as the Prayer Breakfast.
