A special event took place in the Kyiv Pre-trial Detention Center — prisoners were given the opportunity to meet the Light from Bethlehem.
This symbolic baton of peace and hope was passed on by scouts, who annually spread the Bethlehem Flame in different corners of Ukraine.
Representatives of the Ukrainian Christian Interfaith Mission “Spiritual and Charitable Care in Places of Deprivation of Liberty” joined the ceremony.
For many prisoners, this was not only a spiritual moment, but also a reminder of the light that remains even in the darkest periods of life.
The Light from Bethlehem also arrived at the central office of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine (SKPSU) of the Ministry of Justice.
This event was another opportunity to remind us of the importance of spiritual support in serving those who are in difficult life circumstances.
We hope that the warmth of this Fire will touch the heart of everyone who receives it.
