There is not a single surviving house in the village of Oleksandrivka in the Kherson region.
There is no water, gas or electricity in the village.
Driving through Oleksandrivka, one gets the impression that there is no life here.
But when you start to look more closely, you see people taking apart the ruins that used to be their homes.
No one is sorry, they are happy that they returned home, that the guys from the Armed Forces freed their village from the occupation.
The people we talked to said that all the things they collected during their lives were destroyed or stolen by the Russian military during the occupation.
The only things people have now are what volunteers bring them.
This time, thanks to the support of the Hoffnungsträger charity, we managed to purchase and hand over the following items to people from the Kherson Region:
• blankets – 250 pieces
• pillows – 250 pieces
• bed linen – 250 pieces
• towels – 250 pieces
