On September 22, prison service volunteers from the Zhytomyr region under the leadership of Yury Voloshin, responsible for the social service of the region from the Ukrainian Youth League, gathered for training on the “Prisoner’s Journey” program.
The training was conducted by Pavlo Markelov, program coordinator. The Executive Director of the mission V’yacheslav Kogut also joined the event.
During the training, the main attention was paid to the importance of volunteer work with prisoners. Volunteers realize that this work has a significant impact on the rehabilitation and resocialization of people who are in prisons.
After the training, they expressed their impressions of the session and emphasized their readiness to start this important work. The volunteers felt motivated and confident that their efforts can truly change the lives and improve the future of those in prisons.
