A person who was behind bars for some time did not think about where he would live, with what funds and with what he would pay for housing, food and other household items (the state was concerned about this).
The social adaptation center is a place where a person who has been released from prison can learn how to use his freedom correctly: how to earn honestly and rationally spend money, how to make friends and join the service.
For many who have lost social connections, the center is also a roof over their heads.
Today there are private ones in Ukraine
enterprises where ex-convicts who have undergone social adaptation work and study.
Someone works on the installation of air conditioners, someone – heating equipment or sawmills.
If desired, some of them can get an education as a social worker or a chaplain.
